2017 Sovereign Cup – Rep X1

Following a pre season match against current league champions Bentley and the first two league matches of the season, team manager Mick Elliott and captain Lee Brooks are pleased to announce the team that will face the British Tamils Cricket League in the second round of the Sovereign Trophy.

The selected team is:- Lee Brooks (Springfield), Chris Pether, (Bentley), Carl Lees, (Rettendon), Karamuir Mangat, (Brookweald), Phil Coleman (Bentley), Jordan Calverley (Goresbrook), Chris Walker (Bentley), Jamie Casson (Canvey Island), Matt Coleman (Bentley), Matt Chalk (Springfield), Tom Evans-Green (Gt Baddow)

This match will be played at Bentley CC, Coxtie Green Road, Brentwood, CM14 5PN on Wednesday 24 May with a 1.00pm start. All players, club officials and supporters of the league are welcome to come along and support your league team in their quest to win the Sovereign Trophy they so gloriously won in North London last year.


The T Rippon Mid Essex Cricket League start the defence of the Sovereign Trophy with a warm up game against league champions Bentley CC at Bentley on 29 April with a 1.00pm start

As to the sovereign trophy itself we have got a bye in the first round. However we are at home in the second round on May 24th against the winners of the Herts & Essex or British Tamils

If we should win this match we are away against the winners of South East Sunday League or the Bedfordshire County League on June 14th
If we should win that match we are at home in the semi final on July 5
As in previous years all our home fixtures are at Bentley CC to whom the League is greatly appreciative.
